“The fact that nature talks mathematics, I find it miraculous. I spent my early days calculating very, very precisely how electrons ought to behave. Well, then somebody went into the laboratory and the electron knew the answer. The electron somehow knew it had to resonate at that frequency which I calculated. So that, to me, is something at the basic level we don’t understand. Why is nature mathematical? But there’s no doubt it’s true. And, of course, that was the basis of Einstein’s faith.”

"I’ve never seen anything like this. Snow came so hard and fast, it just swallowed people up."

— Steve Bellone, Suffolk County executive, discussing Friday night’s winter storm on Long Island, ‘Cold, Hungry, and Stuck on the Long Island Expressway’ (via publicsq)

"A storm is coming," Frank says. "A storm that will swallow the children. And I will deliver them from the kingdom of Bane. I'll deliver the children back to their doorsteps. I'll send the monsters back to the underground. I'll send them back to a place where no one else can see them except for me, 'cause I am Donnie Darko."

What a world we live in where I’m not even capable of running away to forge for some happiness. Not everybody is fit for this ‘do or die’ society dictated by status and wealth. I live in a place that degrades you until you conform with the norm. Because if you’re not part of the norm you’re ridiculed. And for those who can’t let this pass, it eats away at them. It’s a cycle self questioning and self hatred when you step out of the house, then avoidance and isolation.

What the hell? This is just a bunch of liking photo’s and private diary entries. I like it though. Enticing.

Detroit will close nearly half of its parks and will reduce maintenance and services at dozens of others after the City Council passed on a deal that would have had the state operate the city’s Belle Isle park, Mayor Dave Bing said on Friday. Closing 50 of 107 parks…
